Crane Manufacturing Division

Mussell Crane Manufacturing is an aboriginal owned and operated company located in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Our primary business is the design, fabrication, freight, installation and service of overhead bridge cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, and other custom designed material handling equipment. Originally founded in 1991 by owner Fred Mussell, we have grown to utilize production facilities totaling over 50,000 sq. ft., and have developed into a major manufacturer and supplier to commercial, military, and government sectors all over Canada and the United States.

Since conception, Fred has strived to provide a turn-key operation. This has enabled us to excel beyond the competition when it comes to deliveries and accountability. With our own commercial transport fleet equipped with Hiab truck cranes, we provide freight, professional installation, load testing, and commissioning. This allows us to eliminate the unnecessary fees of a third party company, and have full control of a project from beginning to end.

In-house engineering and design utilizes computer-aided software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, and GibbsCAM to ensure efficient, precise, and technical production. Their CWB, CSA, and AWS certified shops have devoted over 30,000 sq. ft. specifically to fabrication, sub-arc and flex core welding, cutting, and painting bays. An additional 8,000 sq. ft. is used for CNC machining and gear cutting of Mussell Wheels and other crane components. These components are not only used in our own end products, they are also purchased by other crane companies across North America.

After a project has been completed Mussell Crane offers many services beyond the final commissioning, such as after-sales support and customer service on all parts of your equipment. Mussell Crane’s service technicians are fully trained and experienced to deal with all equipment in the event of malfunctions and breakdowns. We also offer monthly, bi-annual, and annual inspections to increase safety, prevent costly breakdowns, and meet WorkSafeBC requirements.

With over 24 years of experience in the industry and a team of dedicated professionals, Mussell Crane guarantees to help you through your project from beginning to end and well beyond.
